If you’re looking for something to do this fall , I highly recommend checking out Liberty Ridge Farm in Schaghticoke, NY. They have  many unique fall activities all in one place. Liberty Ridge is perfect for all ages, and groups.

The first thing you’ll notice, is the spectacular view of all the foliage in the surrounding area. The first attraction you’ll encounter are the pumpkin cannons. Here, you can shoot small pumpkins across a field on farm property!

Liberty Ridge also advertises the largest corn maze in the capital region, with corn stalks over 13 feet tall, with the maze spanning over 11 acres; when you’re in it it feels HUGE!  There are two options when completing this maze; a shorter path (taking around 10-15 minutes) and a longer path (taking about an hour and a half). I chose the longer path when I visited with my friends, and it took us about two hours to find our way out (although, we also let the kids in our group take the lead!). This year’s maze design is  themed “All About Bees”. (aerial photo)

On the other side of the farm, is over seven acres of activities and animals. The activities (for both adults and kids) include multiple underground tunnel slides, two jumping pillows (which are like giant bounce houses without the roof!), giant human size “gerbil wheels”, and a corn house, which is a small barn filled with corn kernels (functioning like a stand-box or ball pit). Liberty ridge also has many animals you can interact with such as horses, goats, pigs, donkeys, cows and chickens. They even run pig races every couple hours!

The farm also has night time festivities geared towards adults. Starting at 7PM, all the activities on the farm get a little creepy! The giant corn maze, turns into a haunted corn maze (so you’ll have more of a challenge when trying to find your way out), two haunted houses, a haunted forest walk, and a haunted trolley ride.

Their Fall Season started September 15th, and runs up until November 5th, so if you’re looking for something to do, you should give them a visit!
